Purpose of the Program
The SSP Program provides immediate, safe, and accessible shelter options for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Coos County, OR. The program aims to reduce unsheltered homelessness by funding emergency shelter capacity, outreach services, and supportive resources that promote stability and connect participants to longer-term housing solutions. Subrecipients will deliver eligible activities that align with program goals and comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
Eligible Activities
Activities eligible under the upcoming RFQ include:
Shelter Operations (Low Barrier & Recovery based included)
STEPS (Safe Temporary Emergency Placement Sites) Operations
Street Outreach
Housing-Focused Activities

Who Should Apply
501(c)3 nonprofit organizations
Agencies with experience in housing and homelessness services, or related community programs
Providers serving residents within Coos county.
